GDPS Privacy Statement.
Cheshire & Manchester audio restoration take your privacy seriously. Your personal data is safe with us. We do not collect email addresses or tel numbers forwarding them to third parties. Your personal Data will be retained for a period of one month following the date of any work we complete and is delivered to you, after such time all will be deleted. If you require us to delete it at some other point in time please email mancaudiorestoration@yahoo.co.uk with your request. The exception being any documentation we are required to keep for a minimum of 6 years which is encrypted and password protected, after such time all information will be deleted. Other than ourselves no other party will have any access to any of your data.
Copyright & Audio/Video Content on Tape
Below only refers to Original Recordings that may be subject to Copyright.
Where you have existing original recorded material which you own we can digitally convert these recordings for you as the owner of this material.
This comes under Fair Use’ of copyright materials meaning that as you own your original recordings, you are allowed to transfer them to any other media for personal and archive use only. This allows Manchester Audio Restoration to offer this service to you without infringing any Copyright Laws.
Just the same as with any Retail Purchased Recordings the resulting CD(s) should be used for the purpose of private listening only and should not be broadcast, Copied, hired or leased.
it should be noted also In order to comply with Copyright Laws you should retain ownership of the original recorded material whilst in possession of the CD provided by Manchester Audio Restoration. If the original recording is sold on then the CD should be sold with it.
If you have produced your own material and are therefore the owner of the copyright then we can transfer to Digital from the Original with your permission.
Cheshire & Manchester Audio Restoration hold no copyright over your material and cannot be responsible for any infringements of this law governing the material you provide to us.
Cheshire & Manchester Audio’s liability is limited to the value of the material only and not its recorded content. If damage occurs in our care we will endeavour to replace the damaged Audio or Video Tape. We have never encountered problems with any Transfers.
Should Items be returned in the post they are always without exception sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery at Cost.
